About the Artwork

With Rovinato (Ruined), RéMôi pushes the Destruct Construct collection toward extreme saturation, where the accumulation of objects and pictorial matter becomes a tangible witness to contemporary wear and chaos.

The artwork presents itself as a dense visual archive of objects that have exhausted their original function. The canvas is an explosion of action painting, dominated by frenetic splashes of sun yellow, deep blue, orange, and white, creating a chaotic and vibrant texture.

The defining element of the piece is the integration of a multitude of "ruined" and abandoned everyday objects, embedded directly into the thickness of the paint:

Wristwatches and dials: Scattered across the entire surface, representing fragmented and now-motionless time.

Mechanical components and gears: Small metallic fragments suggesting the decomposition of machines and memories.

The oxidized metal frame, featuring clear signs of rust and raw welds, acts as a protective yet equally degraded perimeter, accentuating the sense of abandonment and the aesthetic beauty of decay. In Rovinato, Remoi does not merely recycle; he ennobles the "broken," transforming the damaged object into an essential component of a new visual harmony.
